What are dental veneers?

When defining veneers, they often answer that these are crowns. However, this opinion is erroneous. The two types of prostheses perform different functions and have different insertion methods. The crown is located on the entire tooth, and the veneer is only on its front side. When installing veneers, there is no need to remove nerves and hard tissue. Installation steps

Possible contraindications

Despite the safety of materials, the installation of veneers is a kind of prosthetics, so there are still cases when veneers cannot be placed.

Installation of veneers is not recommended:

with a high degree of tooth wear
increased chewing load on the front teeth;
frequent jaw injuries;
improper bite;
the presence of caries that has not been eliminated;
the presence of inflammatory processes in the oral cavity.
